At Field Control Analytics (FCA), success isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people behind it. This month, we’re spotlighting Mary McDonnell, our Hardware Inventory Specialist, whose dedication ensures that our operations run smoothly, our teams have the equipment they need, and our clients receive top-notch service.
Mary joined FCA six months ago, bringing over a decade of experience in inventory management, dispatch, and customer support across industries like two-way radio communications, franchise operations, and telecom. Her background in fast-paced environments makes her a problem-solver who keeps operations running smoothly.
Her background gives her a unique ability to handle complex logistics, solve problems quickly, and ensure teams have what they need—skills that are essential in an industry where every minute counts.
At FCA, Mary’s role as an Inventory Specialist is critical to keeping our operations seamless. She is responsible for:
🔹 Tracking inventory to ensure that all hardware equipment is available and delivered to our clients on time.
🔹 Configuring equipment to ensure that hardware and components are ready for immediate use.
🔹 Receiving returned BPS components, inspecting them, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Every day brings new challenges, and that’s what Mary loves most about her job. “No two days are the same. I love problem-solving and making sure everything is where it needs to be so our teams can focus on delivering for our clients.”
Outside of work, Rod loves playing golf and softball, two activities that require critical thinking in different ways. “Golf is about competing as an individual versus the course,” he explains. “Softball, on the other hand, is about knowing your team’s strengths and the opposing team’s tendencies to be in the right place at the right time to make the play.”
Rod’s love for strategy and teamwork translates seamlessly into his role at FCA, where he works closely with clients and colleagues to achieve shared goals.
What sets FCA apart for Mary? The teamwork and client-focused culture.
She works closely with FCA’s Customer Service and Field Operations teams—a group of dedicated professionals who put the customer first in everything they do. Whether it’s troubleshooting an issue or ensuring a job site has the right access control equipment, Mary knows that everyone is working toward the same goal: making construction sites safer and more efficient.
When asked what she loves most about FCA, Mary puts it simply:
“We succeed by helping others. We work together and make it happen.”
That team mentality is what makes FCA special—not just as a workplace, but as a company that truly partners with its clients to create safer, more efficient job sites.
A Chicago native, Mary brings a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and a relentless curiosity to her role. She believes in learning something new every day and credits her success to always keeping a “Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)”.
Her passion for knowledge and continuous improvement make her an invaluable member of the FCA team.
