How to Track and Report Jobsite Incidents in Real Time with FCA

Step-by-Step: Reporting an Emergency or Incident

When emergencies strike—whether a sudden storm, wildfire, or jobsite injury—traditional phone trees and paper logs can’t keep up. FCA’s approach ensures:

  • Instant visibility across the entire site
  • Two-way communication between GCs, subs, and workers
  • Accurate digital documentation for compliance and insurance
  • Faster response times, reducing risk to people and property

Our platform also allows anyone on a jobsite to log an emergency/incident report directly from the FCA Worker app. This immediately triggers alerts to project leadership and the worker's employer.

If you're not using FCA, talk to one of our access control experts to learn how access control can help support your project goals. If FCA is supporting one of your projects and you want to learn how to get your workers to log emergencies/incidents, read on!

1️⃣ Click “HELP” in the FCA Worker app

4️ Instant Alerts to Key Stakeholders
As soon as the report is submitted, GC client admins and the worker’s employer are notified through the FCA web portal. A red incident indicator flags the project dashboard.

5️ View & Track the Incident
Clicking the red indicator shows:

  • Worker’s name
  • Company name
  • Date & time submitted
  • Details of the incident

This creates a real-time, digital record for safety logs and follow-up actions.
